“Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground… Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we consider him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted… We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:4-6 NIV )
How blessed and marvelous it always feels when we set to transmit our heartiest greeting and deepest words of appreciations to what the Lord has been doing to us through you dearest friend and families; thank you so much and again we say, thank you.
By His grace and love, through His renewed mercies every morning, we are grateful to His Majesty for enabling us to see the starting of the second month of this year. On the Wednesday the 21st of last month, we witnessed our children going back to school for this new academic year. They were all well prepared both spiritually, psychologically as well as physically. They reported back to school in high spirits ready to face any obstacles challenging them from acquiring knowledge. We are trusting God to help us complete the purchase of the school requirements and fees for this year.
Please join us in prayer for Judith. She had to repeat 9 Grade. We are asking God to help upgrade her knowledge in Math, Science, Afrikaans and English. She is asking God to help us provide for extra tuition for those subjects and a conducive spacious room for study at home. Favor has joined an athletic club at school which she feels happy about and would like to excel as well still remain focus in education. She started running 800 meters for track. The first run she got third place and the second run she came in first. She is so excited and is trusting God for fitness and equipment. Danvick for the last two years have been doing very well in playing rugby, a well-focused and intelligent, the coach’s favorite player. This year before schools started, he told me, “Daddy, I feel my heart is telling me to leave rugby and join soccer because I don’t think my body is big enough for rugby!” I said, “Praise God! I’m fully in support of that idea my son.” since I was not feeling rugby to be the right sport.
Mostly, and above all, in our hearts as parents we are steadfastly praying that our children will excel in the desire to have a very close relationship with the Lord and to be established in His Word.
“Do not let this book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” (Joshua 1:8 NIV)
Pray for the ministry
As a church family, we are always thankful to God for who He is and for the greater work He is doing through us all. Despite the heavy challenges we are traversing in the ministry, still He is on the throne, sustaining us. It is now
going to be three years since the official launch of this church ministry here in Delft, Cape Town South Africa. This work has been established on the foundation of “teaching the full counsel of God’s Word, preaching through the Bible chapter by chapter, verse by verse.” We are witnessing how God is increasing us in the Word and in number.
For the past three years, it has been difficult planting a church in very wicked location where crime and all source of evil beyond expression are so prevalent, a cosmopolitan refugee’s church congregation where everyone has a hurting sad story to tell.
By God’s grace and help, my main focus in Bible teaching has been building faith in collecting broken and hurting hearts, planting love and reconciliation and establishing hope for the positive future in Christ our Lord.
“Remember this, fix it in mind… I make known the end from the beginning… I say, My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please…” (Isaiah 46:8-11)
I am now training brethren to help/work in the ministry’s various capacities. We trust God and are planning to celebrate how far the Lord has brought us. We believe God has bigger things in store for this ministry. We really do not have enough words that could contain the whole expression of our gratitude to you, our precious praying friends and families. You have always been our God sent supportive pillars, my inspiration and strength, and your unending steadfast commitments is always and highly esteemed and needed. With your sacrificial help and supports, we have been able to touch and transform lives, bringing souls to Christ and establish them in the Church.
On this note, I, Bidaha Makoti Maombi, Raphael the pastor, and the Jesus Victory Temple congregation here in Cape Town – Republic of South Africa, therefore, have the pleasure and honored to officially invite and welcome you our highly esteemed servant, praying friend and family. Team up with us in making this forthcoming church celebration a life changing event to God’s glory. “For this is the far the Lord has brought us and it is marvelous to our eyes.” God willing, we will have this event in early April. We really would also appreciate to hear from you for you are always in our prayers.
In Christ’ service,
Raphael B.M. Maombi
