Maombi: An Act of Kindness In the Midst of Mourning

But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you. Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.” Exodus 23:29-30

Once again God, has granted us the opportunity to be standing in the tenth month of this year. Nine months are now laying behind us as we focus on what lays ahead, we all are getting busy graciously serving our Master and the King of kings.

With all humility and joy beyond measure compelled by the presence of Christ’ saving grace in my life, I greet you all my blessed and faithful praying friend and family. Trusting this finds you all well and strong in faith. We always thank God for your continuous prayers and support you steadfastly shower upon our lives and ministry. You are truly God given pillars in the stability and well-being of both our ministry and family. Thank you friend. You always remain in our prayers.

We give glory to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose love and mercy we are sustained and protected. We are pressing on well and, by faith, we stand healthy and confident, with the hope that takes us from one strength to another. My wife’s high blood pressure condition is getting back to normal.

Our children are growing graciously well, Judith the big girl, is 15, Favor is 12, and our only son is turning 10. On October 10th, Mercy will be 8 years old. On September 28th our baby girl, Solace, turned 20 months old. Solace is growing strong, healthy, so active and bright; to God be all the glory.

Pray with us that God would provide us with sustainable funds enough to rent a spacious home for this family and a car to help our effectiveness in the ministry.

Pray for our children as they grow that they may seek to venture deep in the fear and knowledge of God’s law, stay focused in their education, and remain obedient and a blessing to parents and family.

As we get deep in the cool and nice spring weather, as a church we have dedicated October as a month of prayer and fasting. There are many challenging issues that badly impact our church and the lives of those who live here in South Africa such as a lack of a spacious place of worship, the current increase in crime and instability, the common revelry and idolatry, xenophobia and racism; these are just a few on the list of the prayer items.

It was during a memorial service of a young man, a member of our church, who was brutally attacked by a group of local young men, they stole his cell phone and some cash, then stabbed him to death because he was a foreigner.

Just as I was about to deliver a message of comfort to the bereaved family and people, young Jeanette to me gave me a little

yellow flower. This gesture was touching. These are the children who are the carriers of our Christian values, passing them to their children…

Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Prov. 22:6

As you pray with us for the children’s ministry, grab also an opportunity to sponsor the children outreach in this coming December. Together we can make a Difference in the lives of these precious little ones.

Please let us know if you have any question or idea on how to help or support these children’s event.

Thank you so much; yours in prayer,

Pastor Raphael B.M. Maombi
